Floral Arrangement Guide
Your arrangement has been hand-crafted in its vessel with fresh, pre-hydrated stems. Follow these two simple phases to help your flowers bloom fully and last as long as possible.
Quick Care Checklist
Phase 1: Getting Started
Check Water Immediately: Flowers drink the most water in their first 24 hours. Ensure the vase is filled to the top with cool tap water so every stem is submerged.
Pick the Right Location: Place your arrangement in a cool spot away from direct sunlight and heating/cooling vents.
Make sure to keep the flowers away from ripening fruit (fruit releases ethylene gas, which ages flowers prematurely)
Some flowers (lillies, amaryllis, daffodils…) can be very toxic to our furry friends, make sure they’re out of reach.
Phase 2: Ongoing Care (Every 2 Days)
Change Water & Clean Vase: Gently lift the bouquet slightly, pour out the old water, rinse the vessel, and refill it with fresh, cool water.
Recut Stems 1–2 Inches: Use sharp shears or kitchen scissors to cut 1 to 2 inches off the bottom of each stem at a 45-degree angle. Cutting at an angle exposes more surface area of the stem, allowing them to drink more freely.
Prune Fading Flowers: Stems mature at different rates. As early blooms begin to fade, gently pluck or trim them out. This prevents mold, keeps the remaining water clean, and directs energy to unopened buds.
*Too much fuss? An easier way—run the tap over the arrangement (push flowers gently aside to create an opening) so the old water slowly gets pushed out by new, fresh water.
A Daily Reminder: Admire Each Flower, in All Stages
Flowers are living art. Take time to slow down and observe your arrangement as it transforms—from tight, promising buds opening up, to petals softening, changing form, and gracefully aging. Every single stage tells its own story.
